William Ray Blanks

Bill worked at Indiana University for many years as a supervisor of housekeeping. He was formally a policeman in North Chicago for several years before moving to Indiana.

Bill was married to Alberta Sevander who preceded him in death in 1993. He married Joyce Arbuckle in 1994 and she survives.

Bill is survived by his three daughters: Becky(Michael)Memmini of Skokie, IL, and Tina(Stanley)Mastalerz of Antioch, IL. Sue Blanks of Bloomington and two step-sons: Bruce(Lorena)Arbuckle of Bon Aqua, TN and Jeff(Tina)Arbuckle of Bloomington.

He is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Mark Horlings, William Blanks-Horlings, Allyssa Memmini, Dylan Memmini, Crystal(Clint Cutis)Tipton, Kyflin(Cody) Leitzman and Brandon Arbuckle, 4 step-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren and his sister Mary Tabor.

Visitation for Bill will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The funeral service will also be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 7, at 10a.m. with John Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
