William “Rex” Hyde of Bloomington, passed away on April 23, 2013 in Bloomington Health and Rehab. He was 90 years old and was born in Dubois Ridge in Brown County, Indiana to the late John S. and Bertha M. (Griffin) Hyde.
Rex married Zella M. Frye on October 18, 1947. He worked for Stone Mill, Showers, Monroe County Schools and Indiana University.
He is survived by his loving wife Zella, his sister Wilma Watson of Bloomington, and brother-in-law Bob Flater in New Jersey. Rex is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend Bill Sexton and family.
Rex was preceded in death by three brothers: Virgil, Vernon and Irvin, four sisters: Lela, Estelle, Edna and Mary.
Friends may call on April 26, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. in Day Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
