Deanna Rae Tacardon, age 72, passed away June 20, 2020 in Monroe, WA. Deanna was born on June 24, 1947 in Ellensburg, WA. Deanna lived in various states and cities until 1951 when she moved into a little white house next to the railroad tracks in Woodinville, WA and she attended the Northshore school district and learned independence during her teenage years.
In 1965, Deanna's first impression of Clifford Tacardon was him driving around in a 1945 Jeep thinking he was super cool, but since she didn't know him, she thought he was a punk. In May 1965, when they first actually met, Clifford knew that Deanna was the one and he pursued her. After a couple of weeks, she felt the same. They were married on June 5, 1965 at the home of Clifford’s parents. The beginning was rough as they started their life together, but eventually things started to fall into place. They had three children, Clayton Tacardon (wife Barbara), Shelia Kastner (husband Terry) and Shelly Tacardon. Through the years, they bought their first house in Woodinville where they raised their three children. Eventually they would have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Deanna adopted Arnie the Airedale, and he was the dog of her life. Like Deanna, Arnie danced to his own beat.
Deanna worked many jobs, and worked around Clifford’s schedule, so the children were always attended to. She finally found a job with Tonkin and made good friends, but she got a chemical exposure, which was the beginning of a difficult life.
As the years went by, Deanna enjoyed going to Bingo and soon discovered Reno. She did family outings of camping and enjoyed entertaining those around her. Eventually Clifford retired, and it was the two of them. Two peas in a pod, they were. They moved to Monroe, WA and started a new chapter in their life. Deanna’s health started to take a toll, but you would have never known as Deanna lived life as she wanted. Clifford and Deanna took road trips and had BBQs, and Deanna was always busy or dreaming up their next adventure. She spent all the time she could with her children. As time continued on, she fought a long hard battle with her health, as you all know. Deanna was a hoot with a contagious laugh that we all loved, and even though she hurt, she kept on laughing. She was the life of the party, and always had a ball. Deanna made a friend of anyone she came in contact with, and there wasn’t a soul she didn’t give a chance to. Clifford never knew if there would be a new face at dinner.
There are so many memories that Clifford, Clayton, Shelia and Shelly have. Just ask them, and they’re willing to share.
Wife, Mom, Grandma, Aunt and friend, Deanna was always described as unique. May her laughter, kindness and smile never waiver.
We love you,
Your family.
“God saw that she was tired
And a cure was not to be.
He put his arm around her,
And whispered ‘come to me’.
With tearful eyes we watched
Her suffer, and saw her fade away.
Although we loved her dearly,
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
A small frail hand at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.”
