Nancy Nims Sparling

Nancy attended Bothell High School, graduating in 1962. She attended nursing school at Shoreline Community College, graduating in 1974. As a highly regarded registered nurse, Nancy provided care for the children at Seattle Children's Hospital in the Rheumatology and Oncology Clinics.

Nancy and Don were introduced to each other in January, 1974 and married one year later, January, 1975.

After retirement, Nancy and Don moved to Nancy's family home in Bothell. There Nancy became involved in the Bothell Historical Museum Society, eventually becoming co-president with husband Don from 2012-2017.

Nancy and Don enjoyed traveling, especially cruise vacations. Their adventures were wide ranging, from going through the Panama Canal to driving around France.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Janet Nims, sister Nickie Parsons and son Matthew Sparling. She is survived by her husband, Don Sparling and numerous loving friends and family members.

Much gratitude goes to the Kaiser Hospice Team and caregivers at Promised Land for their kind and loving care for Nancy.
