Allan attended Mercer University, University of Edinbourough and received his Master's Degree from Indiana University. He was employed with Digital Globe.
Allan was a devoted husband to Joanie (Mestas) and a beloved father to his two daughters Kendall and Audrey.
He was the youngest of three boys and is survived by older siblings, Pat (Sandra) and Tim (Kim); five nephews; one niece; sister-in-law, Tracy Hager (Jonathan); brother-in-law Don Mestas III (Susanne); father and mother-in-Law, Don and Carol Mestas; step-Father Greg Barrett and step-mother Helen Holsomback.
A Memorial Service for Allan will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in the Chapel of St. John's Episcopal Church In Boulder.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Allan's memory to the Humane Society of Boulder.
