Bonnie was born Bonnie Dell Dickson on April 30, 1935, in Casper, Wyoming to Floyd E. Dickson and
Pearl Esther (Gehrett) Dickson. She arrived in Longmont, Colorado around the age of ten.
Bonnie worked for many years for Ben Franklin Stores as a retail merchandiser. It was walking to the bus stop on the way home from work where she passed the mechanic shop where she would meet her future husband, Wally. In her words, she made him “work for her affections.” On Saturday, November 14, 1953, she married Wallace Guthrie Minor at the First Christian Church in Boulder, Colorado. Bonnie and Wallace purchased their Boulder home in the Melody Heights neighborhood in the early 1960’s and she has been a beloved member of the neighborhood community since. Bonnie and Wally had two children, William Minor and Kathryn (Minor) Bohn.
Bonnie had a wild spirit with a sweet and loving demeanor. She was passionate about flowers and wildlife, a self-appointed guardian of the neighborhood cats, and loved hot rod cars. She spent many years volunteering with senior groups and giving back to the Boulder community.
Bonnie is survived by her grandson, Matthew Bohn and his wife, Megan; granddaughter Heather Bohn and her husband Kraig Hayes; two great granddaughters who she cherished greatly; as well as her sister Sandra and niece and nephew.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; daughter Kathryn; son William, and sister Jeanne.
Bonnie made regular contributions to charity, believing it is important to give back with a kind heart. Contributions may be made in her honor to the Boulder Community Food Share or Southwest Reservation Aid Program.
