Carmen Littlefield Miles, age 80, of Erie, Colorado passed away on Wednesday July 18, 2018. Carmen was born February 16, 1938 in Houston, Texas to Virgil Cleyborn and Honor Dolores (Billings) Littlefield.
Carmen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Houston. On June 20, 1958 she married Dr. Norman A. Miles in Houston, Texas. She took on a new career as a wife and mother, an honorable and necessary profession.
If Carmen had a favorite pastime it would have to be spending time with her family. She delighted in the time that she was able to share with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Carmen enjoyed sewing and that enjoyment extended to teaching other how to sew. She was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman; parents Virgil and Honor; and sister Charmaine Miller.
Carmen is survived by her children, Edith and Tim Hinkle; Esther and Arthur Forbus; Nancy and Phil Duetsch; and Norman "Chip" and Erin Miles Jr; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Saturday, July 28 at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Pl., Boulder, Colorado. A Celebration of Life for Carmen will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 28 at Calvary Bible Church, 3245 Kalmia Ave., Boulder, Colorado.
