Clifford Uppendahl passed on September 13, 2020 at the age of 89 to join his wife Erna. Clifford, the second of three sons, was born in Dighton, Kansas. He spent much of his youth growing up on the plains of western Kansas before moving to Boulder in 1948. He attended Boulder High School, joined the Army, then the Air Force. While stationed in Germany, he met and married Erna in 1954. Returning to Boulder, he built houses, then joined the U.S. Post Office, where he delivered mail for over 33 years. After living 40 years and raising four children in Boulder, Clifford and Erna retired and moved to Loveland.
Clifford was a builder of things, a maker of things – motorboat, canoe, snowshoes, a mountain cabin. A gardener, tiller of the earth. A Methodist, a Bronco Fan. A good husband, father, and grandfather. A quiet, honest man – he will always be lovingly remembered as such by Ramona, Steve, Mark, John, Inghard, Sue, Travis, Katinka, Jana.
