

All four grandchildren (Chris Jancic and his wife Crissy, Erin Jancic, Zachary Williams and his wife Jennessa, and Jessica Pierce and her husband Ben), and all three great grandchildren (Andrew Jancic, Lyndon Jancic, and Violet Pierce) were also with her the days prior to her passing.
Doris was born in Salida, Colorado on June 5, 1929. She was the daughter of Sosio Trani and Philomena Velotta Trani and was one of nine children.
Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband Mike (Mirko) and her siblings: Louie Trani, Johnny Trani, Helen Trani, Edythe Ferrelli, Betty Perry, George Trani, Georgia Stenholtz, and Barbara Davis. Doris also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, dear friends, and relatives in Italy.
Doris was a devoted mother and housewife as her two children were growing up. She then worked as a teacher's aide, as well as worked in a bindery department at a local printer.
She enjoyed traveling and was an active participant in her children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities, ranging from band concerts, sporting events, and school activities throughout their school years and beyond.
She enjoyed spending time with close friends and was an enthusiastic supporter of all of the local sports teams.
A service will be held Friday, August 1 at 11 AM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, located at 12801 West 44th Ave in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
She will be entombed in the Madonna Mausoleum next to her late husband.
Her family will be hosting a celebration of Doris' life on Sunday, October 12 from 1 PM to 3 PM at Doris' house.
