Genevieve A Hodgson

She grew up in a loving family with four sisters. Genevieve met the love of her life, Elden Hodgson and they were married on January 23, 1945. They enjoyed family, square dancing with the “Country Cousin’s” and spending time at their cabin in Red Feather. They lived very happily on a farm outside of Boulder where they raised four children.

Genevieve belonged to Buttons Bows hobby club for 60 years, where she made many life-long friends. She enjoyed her family, picnics, reading, crocheting and watching the Denver Broncos.

After Elden’s passing in 1990, she moved to Longmont.

She was a devoted grandmother to her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by 3 daughters and one son; Cindy (Fred) Vogel, Rick (Cheryl) Hodgson, Cathy (Jeff) Stumpf and Tami (Ken) Marten, and two sisters; Patsy Cornell and Dianne Bush along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015 at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Laridon Hall or a charity of their choice.
