Jenay Lyn Breden, 23, of Denver, Colorado, died in a tragic accident on April 20th, 2015. Jenay was born on July 28, 1991, in Denver to Karen and Ralph Breden, Jr and grew up in Westminster, Colorado. She grew into an adventurous, confident young woman who excelled in creative pursuits and exploring the outdoors. She was proud to have become independent and self-sufficient, travel outside of the country and explore her spirituality and artistic abilities. She graduated from Standley Lake High School in 2009 and had attended a year of college at Metro State, leaving school to pursue her passions. Jenay particularly loved the outdoors, hiking, camping and exploring favorite places in Nederland. She loved getting to know people, in all their variety. She had begun to focus on her future and was on her way to Alaska to work and explore new surroundings, when her life with us was cut short. She will be remembered for her unique style in how she lived her life – with confidence, beauty, creativity, humor, a tender heart, an open mind, commitment to adventure, being herself and accepting others for who they are. Her father preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, her older sister and older half-sister; her paternal and maternal grandparents; many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Her passing is also mourned by her boyfriend, innumerable friends, as well as her precious constant canine companion Hoebie. Jenay’s beautiful soul will never be forgotten. A celebration of her life will occur at Crist Mortuary on May 7th at 1p.m., with a reception to follow.
