Jorge was more than a colleague—he was a source of encouragement, laughter, and genuine kindness to everyone he met. His hard work and positive energy made a lasting impact in the workplace, and his friendship extended far beyond it.

Jorge will be remembered for his big smile, warm heart, his humor, and the way he made others feel valued. Though he may no longer be with us, his memory and the lessons he shared will live on in all who knew him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Jorge will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

I met Jorge almost 20 years ago. He just graduated college and he was eager to learn.  He worked hard and he was a great coworker . He moved up the ladder and was respected by everyone. He treated people with dignity and respect and embodied fairness. I’ve kept in contact with him even after I left Miami many years ago. I remember once he put a care package together for me when I was deployed and he included a magazine with pictures of our coworkers in it. He knew that meant a lot to me and that’s the type of person he was…thoughtful. 

Another thing I remember about him is that he was kind to animals. He loved his dog and he went out of his was to help strays. I hope he’s in a better place and that he’s watching over us. 

You were too young to go, Jorge but you’re part of a bigger plan. You’ll be missed by everyone.

Sometimes in life we are lucky enough to meet people who light up the room and make our day better by radiating positive energy. Jorge was one of those people. He was truly loved by everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed.
