Mary Elizabeth Bergman

The daughter of John Weisbeck and Frances Helburg, Beth was born October 16, 1922 and grew up in Boulder Colorado, with her three sisters - Rita, Maxine and JoAnn. She married Marcus Bergman on June 15, 1951.

Beth had a long rich history in Colorado. A third generation Colorado resident and a second generation Boulder native, she graduated from Boulder High School and went on to study art. She worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator for over 30 years, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Beth was an enthusiastic traveler, avid bowler, hiker, reader, lover of the arts and gardens. She adored her grandchildren and took a great interest in all of their activities.

Survivors include her four children, Marc (JulieAnn) Bergman, Laura Bergman, Peggy (Peter) Marsh and Kate (Mark) Villarreal, and grandchildren Sean, Kirsten, Sara, Joe, Megan, Travis, Mateo, Augustino and her great granddaughter, Sophia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marcus, and her two sisters Rita Wetterberg and JoAnn Collins.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Crist Mortuary.

A service to celebrate Beth's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday May 29, 2013 also at Crist Mortuary, with a reception immediately following.

Contributions can be made in Beth's name to TRU Community Care Hospice, The Denver Art Museum, or any organization of your choice.
