
Pauline Hanshaw Roush, 94, of Keystone Cedars in Cedar Rapids, Iowa died on June 9th, 2011. Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday June 15 at the Crist Mortuary, Boulder, CO. with burial next to her husband at Mountain View Cemetery, Boulder, CO.
Pauline was born on Sept. 19, 1916, in Selma, Iowa, the oldest of four daughters of the late Wilbur and Loie Webster Hanshaw. She married Hubert Roush on June 30th, 1946 in Keosauqua, IA. She was valedictorian of the 1935 graduating class of Douds
Leando High School and she attended Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa.
Pauline was an independent woman and traveled to Hanford, WA to work during World War II. She was also a rural school teacher and then Assistant County Superintendent. Pauline and her husband owned the Gamble Store in Burlington, Iowa for a number of years, and she worked at Younkers Department Store retiring after 15 years. Pauline was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, and she will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include her daughter Linda Roush Neill of Broomfield, CO, her son Wayne (Nancy) Roush of Hiawatha, IA, her grandson Travis (Elizabeth) Neill of Golden, CO, her granddaughter Christina (Jeremy) Bienemann of Westminster, CO, her great granddaughter Michelle Bienemann of Westminster, CO and her two sisters, Marjorie Downey of Silver Springs, MD and Madelyn Wilson of Maumelle, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert, her parents and her sister Ruth Kerr.
