After they were married, she supported his short career as a travelling salesman living in Topeka Kansas and Cheyenne Wyoming while caring for an infant child, Mark. They came back to Boulder where her husband went back to school and they had another baby, Linda.

With the completion of her husband’s degree, they moved to Downey California where her fourth child was born, Julie. Her four kids never went hungry or suffered the weather while she was a stay-at-home mom managing a family of 6 on a beginning teacher’s salary.
