Beloved by family and friends, Sophia Jane DuBose, 13, died in a tragic accident in Boulder Canyon on Saturday, May 31st. She and her twin sister attended the Shining Mountain Waldorf School. A ballet student at the Boulder Ballet School for several years, she danced in the “Nutcracker” and other productions. Sophia loved nature, particularly wild animals, and had plans to study Picas this summer.
She was a bright and imaginative child taken too soon. She is survived by her twin, Eliza; mother Laura Cummings of Boulder; father Beverly Means DuBose IV of Rollinsville; and a host of loving family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at the Shining Mountain Waldorf School in Boulder on Thursday at 4:00 PM.
