William H. (Bill) Knox was born on the north side of Chicago, Illinois on September 27, 1932. He met the love of his life, Marilyn, while at Amundsen Highschool and married her at 19. Bill and his beloved Marilyn were married for 65 years until Marilyn’s death in 2017. Bill received his B.S.in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing management from Northwestern University and his MBA at Denver University. He was a guest lecturer at CU Boulder and Regis University.
Bill’s career in sales and marketing spanned four transitional decades in American business. He rode the crest of the tech wave all the way from New York City to Silicon Valley. He travelled extensively both nationally and internationally but Boulder Colorado was his favorite place on earth and his home.
Bill was a passionate fisherman, photographer, and an art collector with a particular love for southwestern and indigenous art. He was a lifelong Lutheran, and an elder at Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield, Colorado. Bill brought a passion and an infectious enthusiasm to everything he did, every new artist he discovered, every new place he visited, each new person he met. Bill had an unstoppable lust for life, and a curiosity that endured throughout his long life.
Bill is survived by his daughter Beverly, of New York City, his son Tod, of Broomfield, Colorado, and two grandchildren, Jacob and Gabriella.
