Athena Pissanos passed away on April 26, 2014. She is survived by her daughters, Helen Birakis (Steve) and Betsy Dennison (Bill); 5 grandchildren, Christina, Tiffany, Steven John, George and John. The family will receive friends at Manasota Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 29th from 6:30pm to 8pm with a Trisagion service at 7pm. A Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Barbara Orthodox Church, 7671 Lockridge Rd. N., Sarasota, FL. Entombment following at Manasota Memorial Park, Bradenton, FL. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church.
