Carol Jean Carr Mersch, born on May 1, 1946 in Cincinnati Ohio, went home to heaven on March 21, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Carr, and father Thomas Franklin. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Michael Mersch, son Pete and wife Samantha, son Dan, and son Ted and wife Carrie, as well as 9 grandchildren, and her beloved kitty, Cuddles, and brother, Larry Carr.
Carol retired from a career as a phlebotomist with Florida Blood services, where she served the public helping with providing life-saving resources to the community. She was a member of Church of the Cross in Bradenton, Florida. She graduated from Dixie Heights High School in northern Kentucky and attended the University of Cincinnati. She was an accomplished photographer, and had a gallery in Mt. Dora, Florida, for a period of time.
Carol lost her 11 year battle with breast cancer, and memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Team “Remembering Carol”, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Pinellas.
Service for Carol is Thursday, April 1, 10:30 am at Church of the Cross, Bradenton, Florida, with interment to follow at the Mansion Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ellenton, Florida.
