Clarence “Clay” Glenn Yoder, 91, of Sarasota, FL, went to be with The Lord in heaven on May 25, 2026. He was born in Jackson, Kansas on June 30, 1934. He married Violet "Vi" Faye Birky on July 31, 1965. Their strong marriage produced three outstanding sons. Clay took loving care of Vi for many years as they journeyed together through her battle with dementia. He worked as a truck driver for over 35 years at companies such as ESI Meats, Wellcraft and Genmar. He was a member of Bayshore Church and enjoyed attending Tri Par Covenant Church in his later years as well. He had a passion for riding Harley motorcycles and reading, especially The Bible and Christian books. He was a strong believer in His Savior Jesus Christ and often said he was not afraid to die because of his relationship with The Lord.
Clay is survived by his three sons Jerry (Tracy) Yoder and his two sons, Samuel and Douglas; Bradley Yoder and his son Shane; and Eric (Meleney) Yoder and his two sons, Chaz and Trey. He also leaves behind one brother, Bob Yoder.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 9am, May 30, 2026, at Manasota Memorial Park.
