It’s going to be a long a painful journey without him


I'm going to miss having Conrad at my back. We have been back to back for the last three years at CF and it has been hard to grasp the idea that he won't be there when I turn around. I never got to meet his family, but he talked about them all of the time. I will continue to pray for his family and friends, with the hope that God can bring them peace. I have some happy memories of Conrad that will always be cherished and I'm sure anyone reading this does too.

I remember MariAnne and Conrad’s love story. He absolutely adored her before they even dated. 
His magnificent smile lit up the room, and he was they perfect mate for MariAnne. Their story continued over the years as they built their family and lives with fun, creativity, love and laughter. 
I know the future looks bleak and uncertain; but your faith and family will give you the strength you need to carry on: one step at a time, one day at a time.

What I will always remember about Conrad is his love for life.  He loved Mari Anne and his children so fiercely and that will always stick with me.  I will always remember his love for gaming, and how talented he was with his art.  His smile could light up a room and provide warmth for days.  Mari Anne, I am so so sorry for you, the kids and everyone who loved Conrad.  I'm praying for peace and healing for everyone.  We love you!

Dear Mari Anne & Family,
I did not know Conrad personally, but through our mutual involvement with FCNB's Living Christmas Tree, it was obvious to me what a loving husband and family man he was.  My husband and I especially remember your family's portrayal of the Holy Family.  Anyone who witnessed it couldn't help but be affected by those special, tender moments.  I hope it comforts you to have these plus countless other

I will never forget going with Marilyn to surprise Mari Ann , Conrad and the kids during their performance of "It's a Wonderful Life" this time last year. Marilyn was so excited to to see the look on everyone's face when they realized she was there to see them, and what a wonderful moment when they did. Conrad's smile expecially stood out to me that day. What a wonderful family. I am so deeply sorry that you are experiencing this pain. I wish I could hug it away for you. 

Mari Anne, I remember your wedding held at the church and have watched your family grow.  You had a love some never experience.  I’m praying the stabbing grief turns quickly to warm smiles and lasting memories of Conrad. You and your family are in my daily prayers for the days ahead.

We are so, so sorry this happened to your family. John and I both loved Conrad. Our favorite memory together was the night we spent sharing stories about how each of us met our spouses.  The love  you had for each other was so inspiring.  Our family is thinking of you and sending you our love.

Conrad was the closest thing I ever had, or ever will, have to a brother. Growing up with him, having him as part of the family and experiencing my uncle and aunt's home, filled me with even more love. Thank you for all the memories, I'll never forget you cuz.

Sending love to you all. We didn't know Conrad well, but I knoe how Marianne, Maia, and Xander spoke of him. He was loved and he loved well. I always loved seeing the glamour shot photos!! Love you guys and praying for you.

We have such fond memories of the Living Christmas Tree performances in which we shared roles with both Conrad and MariAnne.  Thank you for sharing so many of your fun, family photos in this posting.  Our sincere sympathy to Conrad's Hernandez family as well as MariAnne, his children, and the Shelton family. I am honored and blessed to have known you. You were truly one of my closest friends, a blessing in my life, and will miss you very much. I'll miss our deep conversations about life during our lunch walks back in the day. Just knowing you made me a better husband, father, and friend. I pray the Lord bless and comfort your family during this time of grief. Till we see each other again in heaven.

There are no words to describe the hurt and pain  in our hearts right now. Conrad was the perfect fit for our daughter and we loved him very much.  He will be missed terribly! He will be remembered with love and admiration for being a wonderful son, husband and father. Thank you Conrado and Rosa Hernandez for raising such a wonderful man.  We’re thankful Conrad was a part of our lives and will always be a part of our heart and memories. 

Conrad was a wonderful, positive human being who will be greatly missed.  We’ve worked together for the past two years although it felt like a lifetime.  I have nothing but great, positive memories that will live one forever.  
My sincere condolences to all his family and loved ones.  I hope you can all find solace in this very difficult and unthinkable time.  

 Rest well my friend and we will meet again one day.

Happy memories of Conrad, Mari Anne, Maia and Zander in the cast with me last December at Manatee Performing Arts Center. We played in "It's a Wonderful Life" (the musical) which seems especially poignant to me, since it was the last time I saw Conrad and his family. Deepest sincere sympathy.

Such a blessing in our Sunday school class....loved when he and Maryann played Joseph and Mary and their son was baby Jesus in the Living Christmas Tree at Nazarene church....he was such a blessing in everyone's life....may God keep him close and comfort his beautiful family. When I had a computer problem I would call him and he would come to my house immediately.  He was always so polite and fixed the problem while explaining what had happened. MariAnne has helped me in so many ways  and I think of her as  "my adopted daughter".  I pray that the familie's memories of Conrad will give them  strength and peace. God's blessing on you all.
