Mr. Long attended Warsaw High School Class of 1951 and Ball State University, 1960, where he graduated with honors for industrial arts.
He was a proud Korean War Veteran and enjoyed a very active lifestyle while living in Florida. He was an active member of the Moose Lodge of Palmetto and Bradenton. Mr. Long enjoyed his trips to Busch Gardens, dancing with friends and roller-skating.
Those left behind to cherish the memory of Mr. Long are his children and their spouses, daughter Karen J. (Long) McGee of Bradenton, Florida; son-in-law Wayne L. McGee of Ontario, Canada; daughter Dr. Teresa Kay (Long) Lang of Montgomery, Alabama; and son-in-law John A. Lang of Montgomery, Alabama; He is also survived by two grandchildren John D. Lang of Louisville, Kentucky and Stewart J. Lang of Smiths Station, Alabama and three nieces Jenny, Sharon, and Mavis Dale.
Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jane E. Long, who he married on May 25, 1952, and his siblings Milly, Phyllis, Marjorie, Doris, Mavis, and Glen.
