David attended Palmetto High School in 1966. After he graduated he joined the United States Coast Guard and the U.S. Air Force. He really enjoyed to go fishing in the nice Florida weather.
David is survived by his wife, Sheila Creech Cash; daughter, Trisha Rogers (David); sister, Mary Adelina Lazarus (Chuck); two brothers, Charles Cash and Larry Joe Cash (Carolyn); three granddaughters, Amberly Scruggs (Patrick), Ashlynn Rogers, and Arianna Rogers.
David was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Catherine Cash; and brother, James Michael Cash.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Samoset First Baptist Church. Pastor Roland Davis will officiate. David will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery with Military Honors at a later date.
