Eloise Hoeck

of Poway board and care facility in Poway, CA. She was born on April 2, 1925 to Clifford and

Marjorie Samuels in Youngstown, OH. She was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High

School and worked as a secretary at The Sheet and Tube Company, Youngstown. She

moved to California in 2002, where she resided at The Belmont, The Gateway, and

Gateway Gardens before moving to The Rose of Poway. Eloise was well known among her friends and all who knew her for her sense of humor, ability to tell a good joke, and always make others laugh.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Roy L. Hoeck, and

her brother, Jack Samuels. She is survived by her children, Lane Hoeck of Sarasota,

Paula (David) Prindle of Commercial Point, OH, Marcia Hoeck of Rancho Bernardo, CA and

Doug (Kathy) Hoeck of Rancho Penasquitos, CA; grandsons, Grae Yohe and Sam and Jon

Hoeck; great-grandchildren, Austin and Sydney Yohe; brothers, Clifford and Tom; and sister, Elaine.

Eloise will be buried at Mansions Memorial Park in Ellenton, FL. A memorial service will

be held at The Gateway Gardens, 12750 Gateway Park Rd., Poway, CA on February 17, 2018. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Apreva Hospice, 1565 Hotel Circle S., #320, San Diego, CA. 92108.
