At the age of 25, Eugenio moved to Brooklyn, NY, where he met and married Esther, his loving wife of 65 years. Eugenio, who was better known as “Papi”, was the rock of our family. He was a humble man of strong Catholic faith who was never happier than when he was surrounded by his large family. Papi, worked hard all the way up until retiring to Florida in 2001. He loved playing dominoes with anyone who would take him on, and plucking his guitar with unrestrained joy at every opportunity. He will be remembered for his gentle, loving nature towards everyone. His loss removes a piece of our hearts that can never truly be replaced.
He is survived by loving wife, Esther Pagan-Gonzalez, daughters, Carmen, Lillian, Melba, Nidia, Suzy, Diane, Maggie and Cindy; son, Willy; as well as eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; whom he was extremely proud of.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Our Lady of the Angels, 12905 E State Rd 70, Lakewood Ranch, FL, 34202.
