Gerald Edward Pies, 63, of Longboat Key, passed away September 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Pies; and his sister, Linda Shell.
Born Oct. 4, 1950, in Green Bay, WI, he is survived by his mother and stepfather, Frances and Tom Beimborn.
He is also survived by two sons, Warren (Nicole) Pies and Grant (Jennifer) Pies, of Lakewood Ranch; his brother, Wayne (Joann) Pies, of Myakka City; a niece, Karen (Christian) Worley, of Bradenton; and two grandchildren, Grayden and Wesley.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at 6:00 pm at Manasota Funeral Home.
