Gloria Dawn Dolen, age 81 of Sarasota, FL passed away September 15, 2017. She was born May 9, 1936 in Huntington, WV to Herbert Russell Chapman and Villa Virginia Chapman. Gloria was the cleanest and most hard working restaurateur you will ever meet. She was a dedicated owner of Dolen’s Drive In of Huntington, WV and Dolen’s Crazy Greek of Sarasota, FL. Gloria loved the beach, spending time with family, and of course, her Flamingos! Gloria is survived by her sister, Sheila Gail Ramsey; her children, Richard Earl Dolen, Daniel Herbert Dolen, and Tammy Dolen Settle; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Earl (Burt) Dolen; brothers, Larry R. Chapman, and Laurel E. Chapman; and her children, Theresa Gail Workman, and John Michael Dolen. A service for Gloria will be on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11am at Manasota Funeral Home; 1221 53rd Ave. East, Bradenton, FL 34203. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment will be at Manasota Memorial Park.
