

Helen Lois Marr of Lakewood Ranch, Florida formerly of Rochester, Michigan died December 23, 2023 at the age of 95 years. Born September 29, 1928, in Grantsville (Garrett County), Maryland to the late William Arthur and Edna Elizabeth (Sechler) Brenneman.
A graduate of Clawson High School with the class of 1946. On November 2, 1946, she married Frederick Junior Marr (also a graduate of Clawson High School, class of 1943) at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (which is now recognized as Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church), Clawson, Michigan. They celebrated more than 50 years of marriage before his death in 1999.
She is survived by her 5 children David Marr (Cheryl), Diane Bobcean (Ray), Debra Marr, Denise Macumber (John) and Frederick (Douglas) Marr (Pam), 6 grandchildren; Brent Macumber (Amber), Cally Macumber, Jason Bobcean, Johnathan Bobcean, Stephen Marr (Johanna) and Jennifer Marr-Tokoly (Frank), 3 great grandchildren: Easton Macumber, Natalie Macumber and Elli Marr. She will be missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents William and Edna Brenneman, stepmother Nellie Brenneman, and sisters Catherine Matte and Evelyn Reneaud.
She is a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Lakewood Ranch, Florida where she sewed and made quilts for World Relief and to members who just needed a little comfort, singing in the Choir and playing the Handbells. When not busy with the church, she was a member of the volunteers at the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, where she became a volunteer soon after the facility opened. In addition, she was a volunteer at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, Bradenton campus as a volunteer for the nursing department.
Robert Toale and Sons (Manasota Memorial Park) will be handling the local arrangements and Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester, Michigan will be handling the burial at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. The funeral service date/time has not been confirmed but the service will be held at Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church, Clawson, Michigan.
