Kenneth Allan Dearing was born on October 31, 1946 in Anderson, IN. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1965 and in 1966 he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp where he did his basic training at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA and then served in Vietnam from 1966 through 1968. His profession, the majority of his life, was in the transportation business in which he did sales, dispatching and eventually owned his own trucking company. One of Kens coworkers use to tease him about dropping food on his shirt or tie. He would wait until Ken returned to the office from making sales calls and then decide whether or not to ask Ken if he wanted to go to lunch with him or not. The coworker said if Ken had food on his shirt or tie, then he knew that Ken had already had lunch and wouldn 't ask him. Ken success in getting freight from customers was to take them donuts, but when he turned in his expense report, his boss questioned him if the customers actually got the donuts.
Ken enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR, playing cards and making people laugh.
Ken is survived by his loving and caregiving wife, Barbara, whom he was married to for 32 years, a son, Jason Dearing, two daughters, Bridget Vaske (Jason), Kendra Heath (Zak) and two step children, Janet Newson (Sidney) and Stephen Alexander (Julie).
