

Lorraine was born July 12, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late John and Viola (Fry) Hoffman. She lived in the Broadaxe, Ambler area near Philadelphia. She graduated from Ambler High School, class of 1944, and was employed by Philco Ford Corp. as a secretary with 20 years of service.
In her younger years she loved riding on the tractor at her dad's farm, playing golf, knitting, ice skating, cooking and playing cards (Pinochle) every Sunday night at the Hoffman farm.
Lorraine was President of the Ladies Club in Port Richey, FL; Life Member of the Port Washington American Legion, Post 10; Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary 32 of Lansdale, PA; Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #176, Lansdale, PA since 1952 and was a Charter Member and Past Matron. She was also a Past Matron of the Eastern Star in Pennsylvania.
She moved to Jasmine Lakes, FL in 1988 and then Eagle Village in Bradenton in 1989, the "greatest place" she ever lived. She "loved" living there.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Bitto in 2002. She was also preceded in by her brothers, John Hayes and Horace Daniel Hoffman (1956) volunteer fireman in Lansdale, PA, and her sister, Nancy Louise Hoffman Bonner of North Wales PA in 2001.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Carol Ann Heflin, Nancy Bonner, John Hoffman, Frank Bonner, "B" Steve Bonner and Daniel E. Hoffman.
