

Maria Inocencia Santiago passed away on December 20 at the age of 69. She was born in Brownsville, TX, and lived the majority of her years in Bradenton, FL. She was married to her husband, Dionicio Santiago Santos, for 54 years. Their marriage was the foundation of their family. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose influence reached across generations.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Alberto Mejia Jr. and Felipa Sauceda, her brother Jose Alberto Mejia, her son Israel Santiago and great grandson Tony Garcia.
She is survived by her husband, Dionicio Santos Santiago.
She is survived by her children, Maria Luisa Gonzalez, Dionicio Santiago III, Nelda Rabens, and Nilda Flaverney.
She is survived by her siblings, Estella Turner, Felipa Acosta, Rosalinda Aviles, Dora Montoya, Yolanda Ramos, Jose Manuel Mejia, Jose Angel Mejia, and Jose Patricio Mejia.
Her memory lives on through her 12 grandchildren, Yesenia Davila, Israel Santiago, Yasmine Cantu, Enrique Torres, Felipe Cantu Jr, Miguel Santiago, Xochi Torres, Mia Rabens, Blayke Rabens, Frances Mendoza, Francisco Flores 3rd, and Jessica Cox.
She is also survived by her 22 great grandchildren, Addy Davila, Andrew Davila, Jordan Hayes Jr, Olivia Alaniz, Carmelo Alaniz, Lilyani Cantu, Amelia Cantu, Israel Santiago Jr, Emilio Santiago Marines, Emily Santiago Marines, Jazlynn Torres, Ameera Torres, Ulysses Guzman, Brianna Garcia, Elizabeth Mendoza, Francisco Flores, Frankie Flores, Faith Flores, Felicity Flores, Amaya Flores, Fa’Shaya Flores, and Corrine Cox.
She is also survived by her 3 great great grandchildren Leilani Vergara, Tony Vergara and Santino Vergara.
Maria will be remembered for her strength, her directness, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy continues through every generation she helped raise.
