The only child of Robert and Eileen (Bowie) Jackson, Michelle is survived by her husband, Tom, her son, Robert (Nola) DiVico, her daughters, Christine (Peter) Glasier and Amy (Scott) Schuster, her beloved granddaughters, Isabella, Kate, Mollie, Ava, Ella, and Julia, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Born and raised in Warren, Michigan, Michelle graduated from Lincoln High School and worked as a dental assistant. She had higher aspirations so she enrolled in the University of Detroit to become a dental hygienist.
Michelle was a people magnet and made friends wherever she went. She enjoyed traveling, playing Mahjong, cards and trivia with friends, listening to live jazz music, and she especially cherished spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.
She was very active in the Longboat Island Chapel, volunteering for many activities, and serving on Chapel committees. It brought her so much joy to help others.
All those who knew her were amazed by her love of life and positive attitude. This was especially evident in how she maintained her zest for life upon receiving her initial diagnosis and during her battle with cancer. Michelle's positive attitude was infectious. Everybody around her felt uplifted by being in her presence.
She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
The funeral service for Michelle Giannico will be held at the Longboat Island Chapel, 6200 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key Florida on Saturday April 19, 2025 at 10:00am. There will be a luncheon at the Chapel immediately following the service for all to attend.
