She was born in Chone, Ecuador, on July 29, 1940. She graduated from Colegio Nacional Eugenio Espejo earning an elementary school teaching degree. She taught second grade with dedication, becoming a beloved teacher to her students.
She married Carlos E. Salmon Castro on February 28, 1959.
She worked as a teacher until becoming a mother. She was an exceptional homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Ly Bibiana Salmon Zambrano, Carla Ana Salmon Zambrano, Sara Liliana Gualtieri, and Sheyla Natacha Hopkins; her grandchildren, Camille Spencer Salmon, Carlos Proano Salmon, Tabitha Spencer Salmon, Talia Gualtieri, Michael Gualtieri, and Amanda Proano Salmon; and her brother, Jose Rodolfo Zambrano.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Carlos E. Salmon Castro; her parents Jose Demetrio Zambrano Vera, her mother Zoila Rosa Hidalgo Vera and her siblings, Luis Antonio Zambrano, Norma Zambrano, Jose Archibaldo Zambrano, Jose Ronald Zambrano, Cinthya Zambrano, and Jose Eithel Zambrano.
