

Stella B. (Marks) Wilson, 89, of Bradenton, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 21, 2016 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born April 29,1927 in Salmon River, New Brunswick, Canada.
Stella was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church where she was an usher and also worked regularly in their food pantry as a volunteer.
Stella enjoyed many hobbies. She was exceptionally talented at sewing, knitting, crocheting, and
quilting and made many beautiful and memorable gifts for her family over the years. She was
musically gifted as well. She was an avid gardener and a homemaker and mastered the art of cooking and baking.
Stella cherished having close personal relationships with people and stayed in frequent contact
with her many friends and relatives throughout her entire lifetime. She was a kind-hearted and
generous person, always willing to sacrifice for the benefit of others. She was fun-loving and
enjoyed storytelling and sharing a good laugh with others. But most of all, Stella will be
remembered as a loving and caring wife and mother who was totally devoted to her family.
She is survived by her loving children: Susan Wilson of Bradenton, FL; Charles (and wife Anna) Wilson of West Roxbury, MA; Barbara Wilson of Rochester, MA; Julie (and husband Ken) Makiya of Eagle, ID; Margaret (and husband David) Wilson-Christensen of Harrisville, RI; and Carrine (and husband Mark) Masselli of Boise, ID.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jessica, Zachary, and Seth Wilson;
Rachel (Straka) Giarbetti and Alice Straka; and Matthew and Mark Makiya – and two
great-grandchildren: Annabelle Makiya and Autumn Wilson.
In addition, Stella is survived by her loving brother Sedgewick (Jim) Marks of Saint John, NB, Canada.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Hubert Wilson, by her parents
Robert and Caroline (Seeley) Marks, by her sister Ethel (Marks) Mannett, and by six brothers
John (Jack), Harry, Austin, Gordon, Frederick, and Harold (Doc) Marks.
