Terry’s devout and enduring faith in the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life and sustained him through both trials and triumphs. Born on March 13, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa, Terry was a proud Iowan who loved playing football in high school. After graduating, he attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, where he met and married Linda, the mother of his three children. He began his career in ministry as a youth pastor at Liberty Assembly of God in Liberty, Missouri, followed by leading congregations as the head pastor at Dubuque Assembly of God in Dubuque, Iowa, and Berea Temple Assembly of God in St. Louis, Missouri. He also embraced the calling to serve as a missionary in South Africa, a chapter of his life he held dear.
Terry also cared deeply for his mother Bonnie, serving as her companion and caregiver in his later years. His legacy of generosity, dedication to his faith, and his warm, approachable nature lives on in the memories of all who knew and loved him.
A viewing and funeral service will be held on May 1, 2025 at 2:00pm at The Source Church in Ellenton, Florida and is open to all who wish to attend. His remains will be laid to rest alongside his family in Des Moines, Iowa.
