Thomas Eugene Frame

Thomas was born in Walkerton, Indiana, to Samuel Neely Frame and Hilda Francis Frame (Skinner) on February 4th, 1932. He attended Walkerton High School, graduating in 1950. He later earned an Associate’s Degree in Business from Indiana University, South Bend Campus. As a youngster, Thomas worked in the family business, Quality Dairy, delivering milk by horse-drawn wagon during WW II and later partnered with his father to open a popular Dairy Queen franchise in Walkerton. He went on to own and operate multiple small businesses with his wife Elsie, continuing to succeed through his innate integrity and untiring work ethic. He was drafted and honorably served on active duty during the Korean War then continued to serve in the U.S. Army Reserve. He served the Army for 39 years, achieved the rank of Command Sergeant Major, and earned the Legion of Merit Award for his service to the country.

Thomas was a devoted husband married to Elsie for nearly 69 years. He was an entrepreneur and raised two career Army officers. He was best known for his friendliness, kindness, quick wit, attention to detail, love of singing in his church choir, and completing the daily crossword puzzle.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Elsie Jane Frame (Rupel), of Sarasota, FL, their sons John Frame and Ron Frame, his sister Ellen Frame (Mollenhauer), grandchildren; Jessica Frame, Theresa Frame, Alexandra Frame (Chick), and Nicholas Frame; and great grand daughter, Amelia Chick. He is preceded in death by his parents; Samuel and Hilda (Skinner) Frame, siblings; Patricia Frame (Larsen), Nancy Frame (Bell), David Frame, and Mary Ann Frame.

The funeral service for Thomas will be held at 2:30 pm, May 9, 2025 in the Chapel of the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Milledgeville, https://veterans.georgia.gov/locations/georgia-veterans-memorial-cemetery-milledgeville, 2617 Vinson Highway Milledgeville, GA 31061.
