Born August 23, 1917, in Nevarre, OH, he was the son of the late Mahlon and Pearl Whitmer Lint. He enjoyed golf, and was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army, and played bass horn in the band.
Survivors also include his son, Jerry Lint; and five grandchildren, John, Margaret, Mary Jane, Laurie, and Amanda, and many great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 28, 2014, from 5-7 pm at Manasota Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Manasota Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Salvation Army.
