Charles was born in Jersey City, NJ on October 19, 1936, to the late Ludwig Gardener and Eleanor (Rzempoluch) Jensen and was raised in Secaucus. He attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology and earning his degree in Engineering, he answered a higher call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Charles time in the Marines instilled in him a lifelong sense of discipline, resilience, and commitment, qualities that would guide him through every chapter of his life.
Following his military service, Charles pursued a distinguished career as a scheduler in nuclear power. His work took him across the globe, where he contributed his expertise to complex and critical projects. No matter how far his travels carried him, he remained deeply connected to those he loved.
At home, Charles was a steady and loving presence. He cherished time with his family and was an active and faithful member of his church community. Even during his many journeys abroad, he often found ways to bring his family along, sharing with them not only the places he visited but also the values he held dear.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, his dedication to both country and craft, and the warmth he brought to those closest to him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and the lives he touched throughout his journey.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julia (Stoklosa) Jensen; his children, Linda Marie Burnett, Joseph Charles Jensen (Maria), Charlett Aspen Jensen (Trish) and Julie Anne Kasenow (Robert); his grandchildren, Amy (Michael), Christie, Joseph, Brandon, Kaitlin and Zachery; his great-grandchildren, Natalie, Kennedy, Avery, Daymeon and Nikomis; his siblings, Eleanore Myhowich and James Jensen (Debra) and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
