Donald "Don" Bruce Mullen, a hard-working and kind-hearted individual, passed away at the age of 79 on December 29, 2025. Don was born on February 16, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Pittman, NJ. He earned a Master's degree from Rowan University in Industrial Technology.
Don proudly spent many years working as a Printer Estimator and in Customer Service for the Printing Center in Lafayette, NJ. Before joining the Printing Center, he shared his skills as a Woodshop Teacher at Kittatinny Regional High School.
Volunteering played a significant part in Don's life. He had a true passion for serving as a hunting safety instructor for many years. Additionally, he volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, where he mentored many young men. Don was also an active member of the Hampton and Frankford Senior Groups and the Frankford Plains United Methodist Church.
Don is predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorraine Kay Mullen; his father, Clarence Mullen; and his mother, Marion (Lapp) Mullen. He is survived by his beloved son, Michael Mullen and wife, Carol; his beloved daughter, Dawn Mullen and her partner, Corey Beckhorn; and his cherished grandchildren, Mason and Mya.
Services will be held at Wood Funeral Home, located at 16 Main St., Branchville, NJ. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am to 12 pm, with Funeral Services beginning at 12 pm on Monday, February 2, 2026. Don will be laid to rest in Frankford Plains Cemetery, 100 Plains Rd, Frankford, NJ, following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald's memory to Father John's Animal House, 50 Father Johns Lane, Lafayette, NJ, or to the Frankford Plains United Methodist Church, 99 Plains Rd, Augusta, NJ.
Don will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him— a life well-lived, full of humor and light-hearted moments. Online condolences may be offered to the family below.
