George was born in Paterson on June 19, 1945 to the late George and Winifred (Hamilton) Greaves. He and his beloved wife of 55 years owned CENTURY 21 Marquis-Greaves Agency, Inc. in Franklin, NJ. George and his wife Susan were both brokers, and ran the office together for 30 years. George and Susan together touched hundreds of lives tirelessly helping people obtain the dream of home ownership.
Additionally, George was very handy and a jack of many trades where he often did many home maintenance projects. He was very proud of his well pump and black seal licenses.
George can be most remembered for always being willing to help his friends and family, his love of eating (especially Chinese food) and for his keen sense of humor and wit.
George leaves behind fond memories to his loving wife, Susan Greaves; his four children, Gerri Sandford, Sherry Karram, George K. Greaves III, and David Greaves; and 12 grandchildren.
A Celebration of George’s life will take place in September by invitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Karen Ann Quinlan Memorial Foundation, 99 Sparta Ave, Newton, NJ 07860.
