Linda M. Schneider, 70, of Frankford Township, New Jersey, passed away on April 24, 2026. Born on March 3, 1956, in Staten Island, New York, Linda was raised there before moving to Sussex County in May of 1987—bringing with her a steady warmth and the kind of kindness that made people feel like they’d known her far longer than they actually had.
For 14 years, Linda worked as the Manager for V.R.I. in Flanders, a role she held with care and good sense before retiring in 2009. She had a way of handling life—work included—with a kind heart and a practical touch, and she never seemed to forget that a little laughter could improve just about any day.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who truly cherished time with her family—especially her grandchildren. If love could be measured in shared meals, inside jokes, and the simple comfort of being together, Linda gave it generously and often.
She loved food and cooking, and anyone lucky enough to be around at mealtime knew it wasn’t just about eating—it was about gathering. She enjoyed golf, loved playing board games (especially Left, Right, Center), and had a particular talent for turning “just one round” into a full evening. Linda loved the outdoors and bird watching, and she also loved playing bingo and attending tricky trays—always ready for a little fun, a little luck, and a good story to tell afterward.
Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, George Schneider; her son, Eric Schneider and his wife Katherine; her daughter, Lindsey Meissner and her husband Jason; her sister, Margaret Guzman; her brothers, Edward, William, and Robert Lippert; and her grandchildren, Dean, Audrey, Mikayla, and Evelyn. She was predeceased by her father, George Lippert; her mother, Mary (Quirino) Lippert; and her son, Michael P. Schneider.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St., Branchville, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, Linda will be laid to rest in Branchville Cemetery, Pines Rd, Branchville, NJ.
