Flo was born on December 1st, 1941, to her parents, James and Agnus Dawson in Stoke-on Trent England. When she was 18 years old, Flo met the love of her life ‘Eddie’. They married shortly after and celebrated 61 years of marriage until Eddies passing in 2022. Flo and Eddie had three loving children, Corrien, Donna and Ryan.
In 1980, the family moved to the United States. Flo was a meticulous homemaker and became known for making wonderful curries that the family would look forward to feasting on at every birthday celebration. Flo also had a beautiful rose garden that she had planted and was once recognized by the City of Brentwood for ‘Garden of the month’. Later she became a caregiver to Millie, who was one of her friend’s elderly mother, until Flo’s granddaughter Sara was born. She then became known as ‘‘Nana’’ and took care of Sara so that her daughter Donna could continue to focus on her career. 10 years later, her grandson Max was born and Flo once again became Nana and watched over him. Flo had always taken care of people and became known as Nana to many other children while taking care of her own grandchildren. In later years, Eddie became ill. Flo nursed Eddie for over 15 years until his passing.
Flo will be deeply missed by her family and many loving friends.
Flo is survived by her three children, son Ryan Siegertsz, daughters, Corrien Siegertsz and Donna Gebers, Grand Children, Sara and Max Tafoya, Daughter-in-Law Leticia Siegertsz, and Son-in-Law Rick Gebers.
There will be a private service held for her immediate family at Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette, CA. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 29th at 1700 Trilogy Pkwy. Brentwood, CA. Memories can be shared at mem.com
