Margaret C. Barton

Margaret C Barton passed away on Thursday after a valiant battle with cancer. She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and infectious smile.Margaret was born in Heavner Ok and moved to Brentwood in 1941 where she attended Liberty Union High School. She married the love of her life, Herby "Spec" Barton in 1945. Margaret worked at Systron Donner, Gigatronics and retired from Walmart in 2005 where she was a greeter in the garden center. All those who entered would receive a heartfelt hug and/or her infectious smile. She enjoyed camping, crocheting , Charles Barton of Antioch and Kathie Kolivas (Richard) of Brentwood. Grandchildren, Rodney Barton (Nicole) of Or, Ryan Barton Or, Trina Barton, Santa Rosa and Stacy Pfile (Bob) Kelseyville. Six great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews and several people who called her "Mom Barton". Her infectious smile and heartfelt hugs will be missed by all who knew her.Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, April 28 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Brentwood Funeral Home, 829 First St., Brentwood, CA (925) 634-2171. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations will be appreciated to East Bay Hospice and Stonebrook Health Center in Concord.
