Marshall Louis Gray was born June 19, 1928 in Jamestown, LA to Robert Marshall Gray and Emma Ellen (Ridens) Gray. He passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Marshall lived in LA, TX and CA and tours in the military. He married Dortha Faye White on March 8, 1951 in Bonham, TX. They celebrated 65 years and 12 days together.
Marshall is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Elaine (Love). He is survived by his loving wife, Dortha Faye White; daughter, Cynthia Darlene (Van Damme), married to Bill. They were also blessed with seven grandchildren: Lindsay, Iris, Chad, Heather, Katie, Bethany and Crystal; and six great-grandchildren with one on the way: Shaylah, Zerek, Elaina Faye, Forest Gray, Marshall and Caroline.
Marshall worked at the Steel Mill in Pittsburg until he was drafted. After military service he went to Mechanic School and worked in construction. He later worked for the Contra Costa County Mosquito Abatement for 22 years. He was their Superintendent when he retired after a disabling work accident.
