Rachel M. Baldocchi

Rachel M. Baldocchi Resident of Knightsen Jan. 26, 1931~ Nov. 12 2011 Rachel Baldocchi passed away on Saturday after a long illness in Antioch CA. Rachel was born in Saginaw Michigan. She attended Antioch High. In 1948 she married Joseph J. Baldocchi and moved to Knightsen. Rachel was a Real Esatae Agent & Broker serving Bethel Island and East Contra Coasta County for just under 40 years. She enjoyed water skiing in the Delta, traveling in the U.S. and abroad. A highlight was visiting the region of Spain her father was from. She had a passion for gardening, tending to her orchids. Rachel was active throughout her life, she was a Soroptimist, a Knightsen Garden club member, a member of the Bethel Island Chamber of Commerce, was appointed to the 1st Knightsen Town Advisory Council and a Trustee for Reclamation Distrct 2065. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Lorraine in 1950, her Husband Joe in 1984, brothers Anthony and John B Mass, sisters Graciela and Rebecca Mass. She is survived by sons Thomas (Kathy) of Knightsen and Daniel (Diane) of New Plymouth, Idaho; grandchildren Thomas Jr (Devon) of Knightsen, Angela of Oakdale, Stephanie and Joshua of New Plymouth Idaho, and great grandsons Antonello and Angelo Baldocchi. She is also survived by her siblings Eva Duran, Yolanda Proulx, Joe Mass, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial Eucharist will be held December 1st 2011, 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church 971 O'Hara Ave, Oakley CA. Reception to follow at the Parish Hall. In Lieu of flowers the family wished a donation be made to St Anthony's Church.
