Rose Marie McCarthy

August 30, 1925 - August 25, 2014

Rosed passed away on August 25, 2014 in Brentwood. Rose was born in St. Louis, Missouri and was the oldest of 13 children. She worked as a drill press operator during World War II making de-icers for bombers. Rose met her husband Ralph on a blind date the day he was discharged from the Army in 1945.

Ralph accepted a job in California in 1947. Rose followed a few months later and they were married on May 10, 1947 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Lorenzo. They were happily married for 55 years before Ralph passed away in 2002.

Rose and Ralph had three children JoAnn Klement (Jim), John McCarthy (Roxanne) and the late Mary Jose (Patrick). They had nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Rose loved movies, reading, cooking, fishing, and traveling with Ralph.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd from 5pm-8pm at Brentwood Funeral Home 839 First Street in Brentwood. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd at 11am also at the funeral home. Immediately following the services family and friends are invited to a reception at the Klement's home.
