Ruth was born January 29, 1923 in Oakland, California. She was a California Certified Nursery woman and worked for Navlet’s Nursery for 40 plus years. She loved her Navlets family so much. During her employment at Navlet’s Nursery, she met Lloyd Reeves and they were friends for many years. They married in June, 1990. They shared a mutual love of gardening, ballroom dancing and traveling. She had taken up painting later in life and every year she designed her own Christmas cards. She was a faithful member of New Covenant Church in Bethel Island and volunteered when her health permitted. She enjoyed helping in the food ministry. She loved music and was still playing the opening hymn every Sunday morning until she had to shelter in place due to Covid.
She had been preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Truman Reeves and her son Daniel Tuttle. She is survived by her daughters Janice Johnson of North Dakota, Sherrine Holmes of Arkansas and Loretta Thomas of Bethel Island, California. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grand children. She was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.
