Gregory Joseph Yusko, age 64, of Brentwood, TN, passed away on Friday morning, March 21, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Debra Yusko, whom he married on August 14, 1982, in Southampton, Pennsylvania.
One of six children, he was born in Camden, New Jersey, on September 30, 1960, to the late Joseph Charles and Catherine Theresa Yusko. He lived a full and active childhood that included soccer, track, cross country, Boy Scouts, and altar serving at their church. He loved adventure, and it was not uncommon for him to ride his bike hundreds of miles to the beach and back for fun. Greg attended Highland Regional High School and met Debby while studying biology at La Salle University.
Greg and Debby spent their early years together in New Jersey, welcoming four boys and starting careers. They made Brentwood, Tennessee, their home in 1997. As the boys grew, Greg loved nurturing and supporting their many interests and dreams. From academics, to Boy Scouts, musical instruments, aviation, and lacrosse, he was their biggest fan. He was also often the loudest voice in the bleachers. In his spare time, you could often find him helping one of his sons with a home or car project. His love for and commitment to his family was paramount and unwavering.
Greg was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Debra Yusko. He is survived by his four children, Christopher (Sarah) Yusko, Sean Yusko, Justin (Rebecca) Yusko, and Matthew (Caitlin) Yusko; and his six grandchildren: Owen, James, Nealy, Leland, Emery, and Cooper Yusko. Other survivors include his brother Mark Yusko; his sisters Marybeth (Jay) Boyd, Susan (Rocco) DiPalmo, and Patricia (Robert) McGurk; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until the time of a Funeral Mass at 2:00 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9100 Crockett Rd, Brentwood, TN 37027.
