

Adalberto “Dee” was born on March 1st, 1978, to Wanda Respeto and Adalberto De Rivas. In 1997, he enlisted in the United States Army. Dee deployed three times in support of combat operations; Bosnia in 2000 and Iraq in 2004 and 2006. In 2008, he was assigned as a Recruiter for the United States Army Recruiting Command. Throughout his service, his passion of helping other people made a profound impact on hundreds of men and women. As a Recruiter, he helped them fulfil their dreams of becoming Soldiers in the United States Army.
On January 16th, 2020, Sergeant First Class De Rivas decided to retire from the Army to solely devote his time and energy on being a loving Husband and supportive Father. The biggest honor in his life was being a Husband, Father, son, and brother. He married Jacklyn on August 8th, 2008. Together, they built a family full of love, which was anchored in belief in God. Dee was blessed with the gift of compassion and empathy. He never met a stranger and had the uncommon ability to make every person he met feel like the most important person in his life, at that moment.
He is survived by his wife; Jacklyn of 13 years; daughters, Thalia, Makayla, and Isabella; sons; Edwin, and Josh; Grandson Kal-el; Mother Wanda; Brother Edgard. He is preceded in death by his father Adalberto De Rivas.
Visitation will be from 10:00am -11:45am Monday, August 9, 2021 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:45am. Interment with military honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
