PAYNE, Allen E., age 76 of Brooksville died Monday, January 27, 2014. He came to this area in 2003 from New York and was a self-employed truck driver, US Marine Corp Veteran and member of the Marine Corp League 1002. He also enjoyed model planes. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Rose Ann; daughters: Jacqueline (David) McGillivray of Spring Hill & Valerie (James) Waterbury of Burt, NY; sisters: Vincey (Bruce) Boucher & Florence Schutt; 3 grandchildren: Christina Lauer, Jennifer Horn & Josh Demmin & 4 great grandchildren: Tia, Trevor & Tyler Lauer and Austyn Horn. Visitation will be 10am to 12noon Friday, January 31, 2014 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. A 2:30pm graveside service with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
